As part of ongoing improvements to our systems and services, Your Trust is changing how we process direct debit payments. Currently we work with a third party supplier to manage membership direct debits, but we are now bringing them in-house to manage within the Your Trust team.
Please be assured that this will not affect your payment amount, collection date, or membership in any way.
From 1st July 2025, your direct debit payments will continue to be collected, and the name that appears on your bank statement will still show as Your Trust. You will notice that the reference number on your existing direct debit will be replaced with a new one – this is simply part of the update and does not require any action from you.
What do I need to do?
Nothing at all. Your membership will continue without interruption, and the Direct Debit Guarantee still applies to all your payments for your peace of mind.

Freezing your membership
We know that at times, our members may need to pause their membership. You can freeze your membership, free of charge, for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months, or up to 6 months for medical reasons (proof required). Please notify us at least 7 working days before your membership payment is due. Your freeze will start from your direct debit payment date.

We understand that there may be a time when you’re thinking about cancelling your membership with us. Before you do, we want to make sure that this is the right decision for you. We know that sometimes people are looking for a temporary break to their membership. If this is you, then freezing your membership may be what you need. You can freeze for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months.

All direct debit memberships require 30 days notice to cancel. We ask that you do not cancel your direct debit until you have received notification that your membership cancellation has been confirmed.

The Direct Debit Guarantee
- This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.
- If there are any changes to the amount, date, or frequency of your Direct Debit, Your Trust Rochdale will notify you in advance.
- If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by Your Trust Rochdale or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund.
- You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by contacting your bank or building society. Please also let us know.
