This session is supported by friendly and qualified staff to promote confidence and wellbeing. Come and join us to relax whilst improving your general health, followed by a cup of tea and a chat.

Back Care Yoga
Specialist back care sessions assist you to manage your condition on an everyday basis. Sessions are suitable for anyone with a non-specific back pain issue.
This mat based class focuses on yoga poses that strengthen back muscles, improve flexibility and ease muscle tension in both the upper and lower back.

Nature Health Walks
Walking, like other forms of exercise, is a great way to get and feel healthy.
Enjoy the outdoors and fresh air and join us on our Nature Walks as we take in the beautiful scenery across the borough. Walks include Hollingworth Lake & Country Park, Castleton Canal, Greenbooth Reservoir, Healey Dell and Queens Park.
A brisk walk is great for building stamina and burning calories too. Walking has been shown to have great effects on mental health too. Even a short walk can increase mental alertness and improve mood.

Walking Football
Football at a slower pace! Designed for those who are looking to get back into football and stay active, or to introduce the sport to people who perhaps have never considered playing before.
Walking football is open to both men and women and all ages and abilities are welcome. Sessions, delivered by friendly qualified coaches, cover skills and games in a social, friendly environment. Games are played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run and it’s a non-contact sport. Although tackling is allowed, this must be done with no contact.

Walking Netball
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game. It is netball, but at a walking pace.
Walking Netball has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level. From those who have dropped out of the sport they love due to serious injury, to those who believed they had hung up their netball trainers many years ago, people have started playing Walking Netball for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer.
All ages and abilities are welcome.
