We are committed to safeguarding all adults, children and young people who may access any facilities or services managed by the Trust.

The aim of the Adults at Risk Policy is to ‘promote well-being, prevent and reduce the risk of significant harm to Adults at risk from abuse, neglect or other types of exploitation whilst supporting individuals to maintain control over their lives and make informed choices without coercion.’

The aim of the Safeguarding Children Policy is to promote good practice by:

  • Providing children & young people with a safe environment whilst using all of our services.
  • Allowing all staff (including volunteers) to make informed and confident responses to specific child protection issues.

We will adopt guidance and practices approved by Rochdale Borough Safeguarding Adult Board (RBSAB) Multi-Agency Policy and Procedures for the protection of Adults at Risk. Adult Safeguarding means protecting a person’s right to live in safety, free from abuse or neglect.

All children have a right to protection. We will ensure the safety and protection of all children and young people through adherence to Greater Manchester Safeguarding Children Procedures.

We are represented at the Rochdale Borough Community Safeguarding Forum.
