Middleton Arena reopened following temporary closure due to ongoing incident at a neighbouring building
Update: Monday 30 June, 11.30am
Good news! We’re pleased that we’re able to re-open the centre slightly earlier than expected!
The gym is now open, and we’re just completing the final checks on the swimming pool, which will reopen shortly. The pool timetable will resume from 11:45am today.
Although we previously communicated that gymnastics lessons would be affected this week, we’re delighted to let you know that – thanks to the earlier reopening – gymnastics lessons can now go ahead as planned this evening.
If your child has swimming lessons tonight, we will contact you directly with details of your specific lesson.
Now that the centre is reopening and we have the confirmed details for the period of closure, we will be processing refunds and all affected members will be contacted directly with full details of payments and processing dates. There’s no need to contact the centre – refunds will be processed automatically.
A special thank you goes to the Fire and Rescue Service, Rochdale Borough Council and the team at Storage World, who have all worked hard to ensure the safety of the surrounding area and have kept us well-informed throughout.
We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to our incredible team, who have been extremely flexible during the closure supporting operations at other Your Trust leisure centres – we’re proud of their dedication and commitment.
As we welcome everyone back, we kindly ask that all customers continue to treat our staff with kindness and respect – they’re working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly for you.
Your patience and support over the past days have been greatly appreciated – thank you. Please bear with us as we continue to work through things.
We look forward to welcoming you back in centre soon.
