Isle of Man WFA visit to play Walking Football competition
The Isle Of Man Walking Football Association (IOMWFA) joined us at Heywood Sports Village on Saturday 10 May to play in a mini Walking Football competition.
Your Trust’s Paul Gardner, who is also Chairman of the Greater Manchester Walking Football League (GMWFL), welcomed our visitors and gave a speech outlining the history of the GMWFL before a light lunch. The teams lined up for a group photograph before the planned 2.30pm start in beautiful sunshine.
The matches were played in the right spirit with the GMWFL A Team coming out eventual winners on the day.
A special thank you to all the volunteers on the day, Steve and Bill, and the two excellent referees, Denis and Kevin.
