Heywood Civic reopens after redevelopment

After undergoing a complete transformation, we were delighted to welcome people back to Heywood Civic, our much-loved community building in the heart of Heywood, when it reopened in February.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of people who have stopped by to say hello, find out more about what’s on, or join us at one of our events.   Our opening programme is packed with exciting drama, family shows, comedy, dance and music, alongside a newly launched range of community-focused weekday activities, including tea dances and musical sessions for children.

It was fantastic to see everybody who joined us for the launch night, with Mayor of Rochdale, Cllr Janet Emsley, cutting the ribbon to officially open the venue, as well as those who have  since attended our shows.  We’ve received some brilliant feedback so far!

If you haven’t had chance to visit yet, the Bar + Kitchen is open throughout the week serving a variety of food and drinks, and tickets for our fantastic opening season are on sale now at heywoodcivic.co.uk
