For many years the Friends have been helping the Art Gallery to conserve and acquire paintings for the Collection. Talks by invited speakers about historic and contemporary art and craft are held most months with the occasional trip to visit other art collections.
FRAG organise monthly talks by invited speakers about art and craft and annual trips to visit other regional art collections.
Your membership fee will help:
- Promote and support the work of Touchstones in Rochdale and beyond
- Restoration and conservation of the Borough’s art collection
- Assist in the acquisition of new artworks for the Borough’s collection
Annual membership is just £10 and includes:
- A programme of events on the second Thursday of every month
- Invitations to private views of new exhibitions
- Talks by guest speakers, artists, art historians, crafts people and more at a discounted rate
- Opportunities to take part in private tours of art gallery stores
- Annual visits to other galleries, events and venues in the region

The Friends of Rochdale Art Gallery have been essential to our continued growth and development as an important regional art gallery. Through their generous donations over the years we have been able to conserve and acquire countless key works of art for the collection including Interior (The Open Window) by artist Vanessa Bell and purchased in 1982.
Annual membership is only £10 and in addition to knowing you are supporting your local art gallery, you also get discounted rates on the annual programme of talks and trips organised by the Friends and invitations to private views for all exhibitions.
