Artwork by local creatives of Rochdale Borough!

Do you want to see your artwork hung on a gallery wall? For our next exhibition, Free-for-All, we are inviting you to bring in your masterpieces, pictures, paintings, sketches, oils etc, to become part of an evolving public display of artwork.

You might be an artist, or you might have just made something you’re proud of. No matter your age or ability, as long as it is two dimensional, less than 1.5 metres squared, and you live in Rochdale Borough, we’ll take it!

You can bring your artwork to Touchstones Rochdale on the following Saturdays, 12 – 3pm where our lovely team will collect it and get it ready to hang it in the galleries.

  • 16 July 2022

Care of Works and Insurance

All works will be exhibited in dynamic spaces, in use by different groups and organisations (i.e., sports, local community, children’s etc.) throughout the exhibition period of Free-for-All. As such Touchstones Rochdale does not accept liability for any loss or damage caused to the work whilst on display, whether caused by staff members or visitors/users of the gallery space.

Touchstones Rochdale also makes no provision for individual insurance of works. All artists submitting work for exhibition are strongly advised to make their own arrangements in this regard.

Framing

All artists are strongly advised to frame their work before submission so that it can be securely fixed to the wall. Frames should be strong enough to accept a small screw or nail in the back for hanging purposes. Fixings are not required, mirror plates will be supplied and used by Touchstones Rochdale.

Where works are submitted without frames small pins will be used to secure pieces to the walls – this will cause minor damage to the corners. Under no circumstances will Touchstones Rochdale frame works on the artist’s behalf.

Works will be displayed until the Free-for-All exhibition closes on 11 September 2022. After this date artists will be contacted to collect their work.
