George Meyrick uses simple geometric forms to create an uncertain visual experience where shapes can be read as linear, planar or solid, and elements may appear as though they exist in one plane but feel like they belong in another.

For this show, Meyrick will be making a new body of work responding directly to the space and changing light of Gallery One. In his words: “Folding out of the walls, geometric forms articulate space across two and three dimensions, an experience of apparent clarity and balance in an erratic world.”

Born in London, Meyrick has exhibited his work throughout the UK and abroad. In 2016 he moved to Todmorden, West Yorkshire.
