Here’s what Beryl Wooley said about taking part in the Nutrition, Exercise & Wellbeing Programme at Heywood Sports Village.
I joined the Heywood group with my daughter back in August 2021. Since then we have both made significant changes, we have lost weight and reduced our BMI. We have enjoyed the group so much that we are continuing with the sessions at Heywood.
I have lost 8.4 kg in 12 weeks and my BMI has gone from 42.15 to 38.9. I am a lot more active now, and have less difficulty breathing on a daily basis. I cannot believe the difference the course has made, I am able to walk a lot further without getting out of breath and have a lot more energy throughout the day. I don’t feel deprived and I feeling a lot better about myself.
Beryl’s Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scales (WEMWBS) score has improved greatly.
My Reason’s for Attending:
- To lose weight
- To do more exercise
- Felt very unhealthy
What have I learnt?
- How to eat the right things
- Exercise more, means a healthier lifestyle
- Lost weight, more than a stone ( 1st 4.5 lbs in total)
- More active lifestyle
- Make homemade soup to keep on track
