A day out to celebrate the power of the people!
Joining the Collections on Tour Team, the volunteers attended a Middleton Makes Change event held at Middleton Cooperating space. The event was to celebrate people power, inspiring communities to take action in our local areas and making a difference together. Fuelled by Rochdale’s rich history – from the Cooperative Movement to the Peterloo Massacre.
The amazing Peterloo banner from 1819 was on show as well as a display of local studies material the volunteers had chosen and put together.
The volunteers chatted to visitors, had some lovely conversations and joined in with the banner making activity!
