Heywood Sports Village Gym Refurbishment

We’re delighted to confirm that the gym at Heywood Sports VIllage will undergo a gym refurbishment bringing you a range of new equipment, a new layout and redecoration.

As a charity, we re-invest in the borough to support the local community to live active, happy and healthy lives and this investment into the gym will bring the latest equipment suitable for all levels of fitness.

Your newly refurbished gym will open on Friday 12 December.

Temporary changes to the gym during the refurbishment

While the refurbishment is carried out in the main gym, a temporary gym will be available to enable you to carry on with your fitness workouts with minimal disruption.

Monday 1 December: The main gym will be closed on this day to allow the team to move gym equipment to the temporary gym. There will be no gym available until 4pm.
If you wish to use the gym on this day, your membership enables use of the gym at Littleborough Sports Centre, Middleton Arena and Rochdale Leisure Centre.

Monday 1 December, 4pm until Thursday 11 December, midday

During this time, a temporary gym will be available in the studio.

Thursday 11 December: There will be no gym available after midday to allow the final preparations to be made for reopening. Whilst equipment is installed, the main gym will also be closed.
If you wish to use the gym on this day, your membership enables use of the gym at Littleborough Sports Centre, Middleton Arena and Rochdale Leisure Centre.

Group Exercise Classes

Where possible, evening fitness classes will move to the Community Room. Some daytime classes may change – please check the online timetable for up to date details.

Junior Gym

Junior Gym will be closed from Monday 1 – Sunday 14 December, reopening as normal on Monday 15 December.
