These Terms and Conditions (Terms) explain our terms of use. You must agree to these in order to participate in the Culture Quest Challenge.
By registering to take part in the Culture Quest Challenge, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.

Your Trust
The Culture Quest Challenge has been developed and is managed by Your Trust on behalf of the Create Rochdale partnership. Your Trust is a charity registered in Rochdale. Our charity registration number is: 1118610.

Proxi
The website used to create and manage the Culture Quest Challenge has been created and is managed by Proxi. Proxi are a company based in United States of America. Proxi is owned and operated by Map Your Idea, Inc., a State of Delaware Corporation.

Definitions
‘Challenge’ – The digital Culture Quest Challenge that will run from 23 July – 31 August 2025.
‘Website’ – This refers to the Proxi website that is being used to run the Culture Quest Challenge. The website is here.
‘Participant’ – A person who has registered to take part in the Challenge.
‘Secret Link’ – After registering to take part, participants will receive a link that they can use to participate in the Challenge.
‘Map’ – Refers to the digital map that is accessed via the secret link.
‘Location’ – A point marked on the map where participants can collect points by checking in.
‘Check In’ – When a participant visits a location on the map and uses GPS to evidence that they have visited the location.
‘the activity’ – participants are invited to submit a photograph of an artwork they have created to earn extra points. The photograph must be submitted via the website following the instructions provided.
‘Awards’ – These are digital acknowledgments that participants have earnt a specific number of points.
Terms
- Registration
To register to participate in the Culture Quest Challenge, adults need to provide an email address and confirm that they are aged over 18 and have read the terms and conditions.
The Culture Quest Challenge is designed for families to take part in, with responsible adults registering and supervising participation. Children under the age of 18 cannot register to take part in the Culture Quest Challenge.
Individual adults should register only once. Multiple adults in a family group may register separately and participate simultaneously i.e visiting locations together and checking in on multiple devices however their points will remain allocated to individual users and will not be combined.
- Taking Part
You must register to take part in the Culture Quest Challenge to collect points, gain awards and be eligible to win prizes.
Once the Culture Quest Challenge starts on 23 July, participants will have until 5pm on the 31 August to visit and check in to locations on the map using their Secret Link. Each location is worth 10 points. Participants can check in to locations on any day and at any time whilst the Challenge is running. Participants are encouraged to walk but may use any mode of transport to travel between locations.
Participants can ‘check in’ to a location when they are within 100 metres of the location point on the map. To ‘check in’ participants will need to have ‘location services’ switched on, on the device they are using. Participants who are struggling to ‘check in’ to a location may upload a photograph as evidence of visiting the location. This must be uploaded through the Secret Link.
Participants can earn extra points by completing the activity within the website.
Participants have the opportunity to earn Awards which automatically enter them into prize draws. The prize draws will take place when the Challenge has finished.
- Prize Draws
By registering to take part in the Culture Quest Challenge you are taking part in a competition which will run from 9.00am on 23 July 2025 to 5.00pm on 31 August 2025.
When participants collect 90 points they will be automatically entered into the Bronze prize draw which will be drawn on 1st September 2025.
The prizes available in the Bronze prize draw are:
- 3 x Family Tickets to Fireground Museum (One ticket per winner)
- 4 Tickets to a family tour of Rochdale Town Hall on 7th September (4 tickets per winner)
- 10 x Active Travel Goody Bags (one bag per winner)
- £20 WHSmith Voucher
- 1 Set of Children’s Books
When participants collect 180 points they will be automatically entered into the Silver prize draw which will be drawn on 1st September 2025.
The prizes available in the Silver prize draw are:
- 1 Circus Skills Set from Skylight Circus Arts
- 1 Rochdale Town Hall Goody Bag
- Arts Bundle from Royal Exchange Shopping Centre
- 1 Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children OR 1 adult + 3 children) for Aladdin at Middleton Arena – Friday 28 November, 7pm
- Free Family Bike Check with Your Trust
- 2 x £20 The Works Voucher (one voucher per winner)
- 1 Hamper of Art Materials from Touchstones
When participants collect 250 points they will be automatically entered into the Gold prize draw which will be drawn on 1st September 2025.
The prizes available in the Gold prize draw are:
- 1 Family Ticket (2 adults + 2 children OR 1 adult + 3 children) for The Wizard of Oz at Heywood Sports Village – Saturday 13 December, 2pm
- 1 Family Ticket for 25 minute Hollingworth Lake Passenger Boat Trip for up to 6 people (children must be accompanied by an adult).
- 4 x REEL Cinema tickets (4 tickets per winner)
- One Instax Mini 12 Instant Camera
- Free group Scooter/Bike session for your school, provided by Your Trust
- 1 hour free music lesson with Rochdale Music Service
Participants can enter multiple prize draws but will only be able to win one prize per prize draw.
Winners will be contacted via the email address they used to register, with information about how to claim their prize.
Prizes must be claimed within one month of winners being contacted.
Participants are responsible for providing a correct email address and checking their junk folder.
Prizes can only be sent to a valid UK address unless otherwise stated.
If a participant does not abide by the Terms, Your Trust reserves the right to remove the participant from the website and disqualify them from the competition. This may include wiping points.
The Culture Quest Challenge is open to employees or agencies of Your Trust and partners, their family members and anyone else connected to the prize draw. Such persons will be eligible to participate in the challenge and to win prizes however Your Trust employees and spouses will be required to donate prizes to a suitable nominated cause/person(s).
In the unlikely event of the prize (or one or more constituent elements) not being available, Your Trust and partners reserve the right to provide a similar prize of equal or greater value.
Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and (if applicable) not redeemable for cash.
Your Trust and partners accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
Your Trust and partners shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.
Your Trust and partners reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this prize draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).
The decision of Your Trust and partners in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Safety
You agree to take part in the Culture Quest Challenge at your own risk. Your Trust has made reasonable efforts to ensure that the content of the website is up-to-date and accurate, but we cannot accept responsibility for any inaccuracies, expectations as to quality or subsequent changes, omissions or errors.
Participants should be aware of their surroundings when participating in the Culture Quest Challenge. They should practice sensible road safety and caution. The challenge has similar risks as walking or playing outdoors.
Participants should not go into any places where they are not permitted, or where there may be hazards or safety concerns, and exercise the same caution that they would do when travelling around their local area for any outdoor activity.
Sometimes the accessibility or safety of a location can depend on the time of day or other factors such as weather and the participant’s physical ability.
If a participant feels that a location is unsuitable for safety or other reasons, please report this to rochdaleculturequest@gmail.com who will investigate the issue further. When selecting the locations, we have considered the potential impact on safety. In the instance that a player reports a location as being unsuitable, we will carry out another review of that location accordingly.
Your Trust and partners accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering or participating in the Culture Quest Challenge.
Your Trust will not be held liable for any personal injury, trespass or damage to property from participants; participants agree to play in a sensible manner and respect the rights and safety of other people.
Your Trust accepts no liability for any loss or damage resulting, directly or indirectly, from any use of the information or material contained on the website.
Please report any issues that you discover with the website to rochdaleculturequest@gmail.com directly so we can address them as quickly as possible.
In the event of extreme weather, Your Trust may temporarily disable the Challenge.
- Data Protection
The data that you share via the Website will be visible to Your Trust who will collect, store and use the data for the purpose of running the Culture Quest Challenge and reporting to funders and stakeholders on engagement. Any data shared with partners will be anonymised. Your Trust’s privacy policy is available to read here.
The data that you share via the Website will also be visible to Proxi. You can read their privacy policy here.
- Acceptable Use
If a player breaches the Terms, Your Trust may terminate, deactivate or suspend a player’s account and disqualify them from taking part in the Challenge.
- Updates/Changes
Your Trust retains the right to update or modify this Terms and conditions at any time. In the event that the Terms are updated during the Challenge, an email containing a link to this page will be sent to all registered participants. Your continued use of the Website will deem that you accept these Terms.
Your Trust retains the right to modify the Website for safety or other reasons and will update these Terms with any updates, although there may be some delay between updates to the Website and the corresponding updates to the Terms. We will endeavour to update the Terms within a reasonable period of time to align with modifications to the Website
- How users can terminate registration
You can terminate your registration at any time by contacting rochdaleculturequest@gmail.com and requesting that they remove your registration. If you terminate your registration, you can no longer take part in the competition or subsequently receive/be entered for any prizes.
