Celebrating all the volunteers hard work Unlocking Collections (And having jolly trips out!)
It was a special day today celebrating the volunteers. Local studies was transformed into an amazing space for the volunteers and honourable guests. The volunteers arrived and were amazed to see the room transformed!
Speeches were made thanking the volunteers for all their dedication and hard work over the last year before fantastic performance by volunteers Felix, Lucia, Georgia and Cynthia. Felix read a poem, Lucia sang a hymn, Georgia read a dialect poem and Cynthia finished off with a song.
A mouthwatering buffet was enjoyed and Cynthia & Felix brought in some home cooked chicken and white boiled rice infused with coconut – everything was delicious!
The Mayor, Councillor Faisal Rana, presented certificates and photobooks to each of the volunteers and presented them with a special badge for them to wear.
What an amazing day had by all, the volunteers, staff, dignitaries & guests!
Thankyou once again to our amazing volunteers – Xav, Georgia, Rifah, Lucia, Cyntha and Felix for making this project a huge success!
